@edwardjensen.net I’m not sure if it’s “inevitable” we’ll all have home servers, because I agree with your 2025 predictions post that we’ll see a revival of physical media. Putting a DVD/Blu-Ray/whatever into the right player is easier than standing up a whole server infrastructure (for most non-tech people)
@edwardjensen.net Downtown Saint Paul reminds me very much of downtown Phoenix pre-2006. There’s so much great infrastructure here, but it’s missing a spark to kick things off. So much of downtown Saint Paul’s economic eggs are still in the government basket - guess that’s what happens when you’re the Capital City.
@edwardjensen.net What else could be that spark? Perhaps one of Saint Paul’s colleges opening a downtown campus could work, just as we saw help re-launch downtown Phoenix.
Having two big cities in one metro is tough, but both Minneapolis and Saint Paul can collaborate and co-exist.
